Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University with expertise in Information Systems and Analytics. Published in Decision Support Systems, Information & Management, Journal of Business Analytics, Information Systems Frontiers, Production Planning & Control, and other journals and conference proceedings. Actively involved in the Data Analytics and Visualization lab (DAVE) at Wright State University where students in the Raj Soin College of Business study business analytics.

Dr. Amir Zadeh is a Professor of Management Information Systems at Wright State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Management Science and Information Systems from Oklahoma State University, OK, US. He holds degrees in both Industrial Engineering (with a concentration in Socio-Economic Systems) and Applied Mathematics (with a concentration in Computer Science). His research and teaching interests are varied and include data-driven decision making, analytics, big data, and machine learning with applications in information systems, healthcare, social networks, cybersecurity, e-commerce, sports, operations management, and others. His research on sports analytics using wearable technology is funded by a grant from Wright State University’s Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP). He received a technology grant from Microsoft to implement Microsoft Dynamics ERP using Azure Technologies and incorporate it into IS curriculum.

He received the Outstanding Scholarship Award from the Raj Soin College of Business at Wright State University in 2019 and 2021. His other awards include the Best Paper Award from the Journal of Information Systems Education in 2021, the Operations Research Society (OR)’s Ranyard Medal for the Best Paper in 2020, the Best Research Paper Award from the Business Analytics Congress at the ICIS Conference in 2015 and the Outstanding Faculty Award for Teaching in 2019 and 2021.

He serves as an associate editor for E-Service, and Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence – section AI in Business. He is also a member of the editorial review boards of the International Journal of Intelligent Information Technologies, the Journal of Information Systems Education, Journal of Business Research, and Journal of Business Analytics and serves as the teaching track co-chair of the ICIS Decision Support and Analytics (SIGDSA) symposium.
