Dr. Maan Broadstock is an instructor of Chinese in the Department of Modern Languages.  She was born in Taiwan and moved to the United States in 1997.  She received her Ph.D. in Educational Studies from The Ohio State University.  After moving to the United States, she began teaching Chinese at the Dayton Chinese School and fell in love with Chinese teaching.  Later She established the Chinese program at Centerville High School in 2006.  She was an adjunct faculty member at Wright State University from 2008 to 2013 and became a full-time faculty member in 2014.

Maan and her husband, Tom, live in Centerville.  They have two sons, Arthur and Alex.  In her spare time, Maan enjoys hiking, Tai Chi, Chinese painting and calligraphy.
