Shu Schiller, Ph.D.
Dr. Shu Schiller is an Associate Professor of Information Systems in the Raj Soin College of Business at Wright State University. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration, Management Information Systems from the Fox School of Business at Temple University.
Dr. Schiller’s teaching interests cover various topics on information technologies, such as Strategic Information Systems, Data Analytics and Visualization, Business Intelligence and CRM, MIS Senior Capstone Projects, and Introduction to MIS. She believes that learning is an interactive process; thus, innovative content and delivery are the central philosophy of her teaching. Dr. Schiller is an advocate for e-textbooks and e-learning. She won a number of national and regional awards for her teaching achievements.
As a scholar, Dr. Schiller has a passionate interest in improving communication and collaboration in today’s highly networked society. Her research focuses on data analytics and visualization, computer-mediated communication, multimedia in marketing, virtual teams and virtual worlds, and interactive technology for e-learning. Her recent publications appeared in journals such as the Communications of the AIS, Journal of Advertising Research, Information Systems Management, Database Management, Small Group Research, and Journal of Information Systems Education. Dr. Schiller believes that scholarly work should improve our insights and provide meaningful and relevant suggestions for actions that can change our lives and the world we live in.
