Research statement:

My goal is to make cyber systems more usable, trustworthy, and safe. My lab's research focuses on automating and improving the human-computer interface for cyber-related tasks. We develop intelligent analysis tools, study complex problem solving, and model how people process information to make decisions in domains like reverse engineering, malware analysis, computer forensics, and network monitoring. We also develop tools and technologies to train expert and non-expert users. Our research methods include cognitive work analysis, human participant experiments, cognitive modeling & simulation, artificial intelligence programming, cyber security tool development, and usability studies.
