Elizabeth Bourgeois is an Assistant Professor of Costume Design in the Department of Theatre, Dance, & Motion Pictures.  She received her M.F.A. in Design for Theatre Film and Television from New York University and her B.A. in Theatre from Western Michigan University. Elizabeth has taught at Marymount Manhattan, Cal Poly Pomona, The New School, University of Michigan-Flint, Denison, Wesleyan, and NYU's Experimental Theatre Wing. In her first semester at Wright State she is teaching Costume Design, Costume Construction, and Advanced Design Studio I. Elizabeth has designed for Juilliard, La Mama, Mabou Mines, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Big Apple Circus, and Lincoln Center, as well as television stations AMC, MTV, VH1, and PBS. She was a designer for the original Broadway musical, Avenue Q, and award winning film, The Winged Man. Elizabeth also creates apparel for women and children under her label Team Chipmunk.
