Molly Patrice Murphy, B.F.A.
Molly has been dancing and studying many forms of dance since she was three. She has relocated back to Ohio from New York, NY where she danced with the Push Factor Dance Company and the Undertoe Dance Project. Molly achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. While at WSU she performed in works by choreographers such as Balanchine, Suzanne Walker, John Rodriguez, Teressa Wylie McWilliams, Veronica Green, and Daniel Marshall. She is well versed in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Acro and Ballroom She was choreographer, casting coordinator, dance captain, and dancer for Paramount’s Kings Island in Cincinnati, Ohio where she performed for six years. She is currently an adjunct professor for dance at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She held the position of Vice President for the Miami Valley Dance Teacher's Association that reaches out to dance schools in the Dayton and Cincinnati area for 3 years. Molly has also been a presenter at the Ohio Dance Festival held at Ballet Met in Columbus, Ohio. Molly is the current director of the competitive dance program at Mason Dance Center. She continues to grow as a teacher by attending The Dance Teacher Web and several other workshops each season. Overall, teaching dance is a necessary outlet of emotion and expression for Molly and she cannot imagine her life without it.
