I joined Wright State University in Dayton Ohio in 2015.
My most recent background is as a Professor at DeVry University. I taught for almost 13 years in the Computer and Electrical Engineering Technology department at DeVry in Columbus Ohio. I have designed and taught courses such as Introductory Programming, Java Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Operating Systems, Database Systems, Distributed Systems, Microprocessor Programming, etc.
Before entering the academic field, I worked in the communication industry. I was employed by AT&T Bell Laboratories (which eventually became Lucent Technologies) for almost 24 years. I was appointed Distinguished Member of Technical Staff in 1998. During my time at Bell Labs, I worked on many different types of communications systems including large scale PBX (private branch exchange) telephone switching systems, long distance network switching elements, and automated voice response systems.
