He will also be joining the Butler Philharmonic Orchestra as the bass soloist for their performances of Haydn's Mass No. 10, Missa in tempore belli. Other recent professional engagements include performances as the baritone soloist in Dvořák’s Te Deum with the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with the Western Colorado Chorale and debuting with Virginia Opera as Fiorello and the Officer in their production of The Barber of Seville. Some of Alexander's favorite past roles include Mercutio (Roméo et Juliette), Thomas (Jennifer Higdon’s Cold Mountain), Dr. Pangloss and Martin (Candide), Ottone (L’incoronazione di Poppea), Ford (Falstaff), Dottore Malatesta (Don Pasquale), Top (The Tender Land), Le Podestat (Le Docteur Miracle), and Bartley (Riders to the Sea), among others. His principal teachers and coaches have included Jane Dutton, Allan Armstrong, Kevin Murphy, Tom Baresel, William McGraw, and Chad Sloan.
