Amanda Hinson-Enslin, Ph.D., M.P.H.
Amanda Hinson-Enslin, Ph.D., M.P.H., CHES® is an assistant professor in the Department of Population & Public Health Sciences. Dr. Hinson-Enslin completed her doctorate in health studies with a concentration in population health at Texas Woman’s University. Her dissertation examined the health information-seeking behaviors of deafened individuals with high perceived cancer risk. Also, Dr. Hinson-Enslin earned a M.P.H. at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, where she interned at the Primary Care Research Institute. Her research investigated the clinical service characteristics and the rate of initiation and completion of the human papillomavirus vaccination series within four academic clinics. Prior to graduate school, she obtained a degree in dental hygiene from Texas Woman’s University. During graduate school, she practiced as a registered dental hygienist in a private practice and volunteered as a dental hygienist at various dental sealant programs and community dental clinics.
