Amy Faust is an award winning cinematographer and IATSE Local 600 Camera operator based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Amy graduated from the Wright State University Motion Pictures Program in 2007. Amy has spent 20 years traveling the world, working in the camera department on documentaries, narrative feature films and national commercials. Her camera work can be viewed in Emilio Estevez’s The Public, Netflix’s Turtles All The Way Down & Point Blank among others. Her clients also include Showtime, Hulu, HBO & MTV. 

Amy continues to shoot, in addition to her work for Wright State. She shot the short film Photography through the 2025 Tri-C Intensive Film Workshop. This Emmy winning short film explores the themes of power and friendship. Amy’s cinematography captures the grandeur and style of the 1960’s. Reviews hail the film’s "careful composition, beautiful cinematography, and insightful direction." For her work on Photography, Amy has also been chosen as a 2026 recipient of the International Cinematographer Guild’s prestigious Emerging Cinematographer Award.

Paying opportunity forward and protecting the work/life balance of our crews are passionate missions for Amy. She serves on ICG’s National Executive Board and chairs the National Health and Welfare Committee, which she considers the heart of the Local. Amy co-chairs the Central Region Women’s Committee. She returns to her alma mater with a passion for instilling a love of cinema into the next generation.
