
Brian T. Boyd, Ph.D.
Dr. Boyd has worked in Mathematics Education at Wright State since 2006. He has a joint appointment between the Department of Teacher Education and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. His interests include student-centered and project-based learning; teacher development; school leadership; teaching reasoning and proof; and teacher tracking. While at WSU, Dr. Boyd served as the Founding Principal of the Dayton Regional STEM School.
Prior to working at WSU, Dr. Boyd was a high school mathematics teacher and middle school principal in the Dayton area. He earned his PhD in Mathematics Education from the University of Louisville. He lives in Vandalia, Ohio with his wife and their four children.
