Dr. Jason R. Anderson, Colonel (Ret.), USAF, is the founding director of the Wright State University Center for Civics, Culture, and Workforce Development. In this role, he leads initiatives to enhance civic engagement, workforce development, and public service education through interdisciplinary collaboration and strategic partnerships between academia, government, and industry.
Dr. Anderson joined Wright State University in 2025 following a 24-year career in the United States Air Force, where he served in multiple leadership roles, including Dean of Students and Senior Military Faculty at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). As Director of the Digital Innovation and Integration Center of Excellence, he played a critical role in advancing Air Force digital transformation efforts, professional education programs, and research in supply chain resilience.
A recognized expert in logistics, operational strategy, and workforce development, Dr. Anderson has led efforts to enhance professional education, shape supply chain resilience strategies, and drive digital modernization in both military and civilian sectors. His research has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals, covering topics such as transportation policy, logistics optimization, and economic impacts of supply chain management.
Dr. Anderson has secured and managed over $17.6 million in grants to support projects in consulting, education, training, best practices across a wider variety of projects.
At Wright State University, Dr. Anderson is committed to expanding educational access for military-affiliated and non-traditional students, developing programs that integrate civic responsibility with workforce skills, and building strategic community partnerships to enhance student learning and career opportunities.
Dr. Anderson resides in Ohio with his family and remains actively involved in initiatives that support veterans, education, and civic engagement.
