Mark Anderson is a dynamic leader in higher education marketing and enrollment strategy, currently serving as the Director of Marketing at Wright State University, a public research university in Dayton, Ohio, named after the Wright brothers. With nearly three decades of experience in enrollment management, marketing, communications, and process optimization, Mark is passionate about fostering institutional growth, improving student success, and driving transformative change.

Mark joined Wright State in 1997 through the Boonshoft School of Medicine, where he held multiple positions before transitioning to the Office of Marketing in 2011. His diverse background includes leadership, management, web development, analytics, teaching, video production, and design. He excels at building high-performing teams and cultivating a collaborative culture that prioritizes innovation, user-centered design, and continuous improvement.

Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications Technology from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Information Systems from Wright State University. In 2017, he completed the Certificate in Disruptive Strategy program from Harvard Business School. His professional accolades include the President’s Award for Excellence in the Spirit of Innovation (2015) and membership in the selective inaugural 2016 class of the Wright Leader Academy.

Beyond his career in academia, Mark is deeply committed to personal growth and innovation. He is an avid reader of books on emotional intelligence, marketing, economics, psychology, technology, and leadership. Outside of work, Mark has a keen interest in personal finance and investing, having been an active investor since 1998. When he’s not behind a computer or leading teams, Mark is likely to be found on the pickleball court.
