Nancy Mack is a full professor of English at Wright State University where she teaches undergraduate courses for pre-service teachers and graduate courses in composition theory, memoir, and multigenre writing. Her career began as a middle and high school teacher. She then taught in three prison programs for ten years. She has participated in several large grants, including arts organizations and PBS multimedia programs for teachers.  Her scholarship explores issues related to sociolinguistics, identity formation, emotional labor, and working class. Her publications include books about teaching multigenre writing and teaching grammar with poetry. She has two forthcoming chapters in scholarly anthologies about working class pedagogy and the imposter phenomenon. She is a frequent speaker at national and state conferences and has won several teaching awards.
