Robert Namasake Sabwami, M.Ed.
Dedicated to the transformative impact of assistive technologies, Robert is an ardent enthusiast for innovation across both the digital and non-digital spheres. His passion for navigating the ever-evolving landscape of technology is rooted in a background in education and a strong commitment to accessibility. In his role as a case manager, Robert is currently assigned to the College of Engineering and Computer Science, and by extension, he coordinates services for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Robert’s career started as an Assistive Tech Instructor, where he delved into the world of adaptive computer technology for the blind, laying the foundation for his commitment to accessibility. A stint as a High School Intervention Specialist followed, affording him the opportunity to navigate the complexities of special education and student support services with a passion for fostering a growth mindset to his target audience.
Prior to joining Wright State University, Robert served as the Academic Progress Coordinator at Clark State College, focusing on engagement, access, and student support initiatives.
As a Wright State University alumnae , Robert earned his bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Human Services in 2016 and a master’s degree in Education in 2019.
