Shana M. Degnan, B.A., M.S. CMHC, LPC
My name is Shana Degnan and I am a licensed professional counselor with a background in community mental health care, specializing in substance use counseling and support for postpartum and at-risk populations. Born and raised outside of Bellefontaine, I joined the military right out of high school but quickly returned to Ohio after being stationed at Wright-Patt AFB. Following my six year enlistment as a medic in the Air Force, I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology from Wright State University before completing my graduate degree in clinical mental health counseling at Walden University. I have always felt a strong interest in advocacy and proactive mental health care which allows me to create authentic connections with those seeking support. With that mindset, I hope to continue to foster a positive and welcoming space for students in need of support here at Wright State.
