Scott D. Williams, Ph.D.
Scott D. Williams, Ph.D., is a Professor of Management in the Raj Soin College of Business (RSCOB). He has received awards in teaching, research and service, including the "Award for Teaching Excellence" from the Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education, the RSCOB "Outstanding Management Teacher" and "Outstanding MBA Teacher" awards, the "Award for Excellence: Outstanding Paper" from the European Journal of Innovation Management, and the RSCOB "Outstanding Service Award." Williams served as the Executive Director of the Center for Innovation Management at Wright State University (WSU) from 2006 to 2013. Prior to 2006, Williams was Senior Strategy Consultant for Mound Advanced Technology Center, and Strategy and Business Development Consultant for the National Composite Center. He has conducted research on competitive dynamics, business ethics, management development, creativity training, outdoor experiential training, and training evaluation. His research appears in journals such as Competitiveness Review, Journal of Strategic Marketing, Journal of Management Development, Personnel Review, Creativity and Innovation Management, Human Resource Management Review, and Industrial and Commercial Training. Williams earned his bachelor's and MBA degrees from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, where he was named the "Outstanding MBA Student" in 1993. He earned his doctorate in management from Texas A&M University. He was also a recipient of the "40 Under 40 Award" from Dayton Business Journal.
